Become a Mobilizer!

Mobilize your community to be in Washington DC on September 27 to take a stand for the future of Appalachia!

We need community leaders from across Appalachia and the United States to mobilize their communities. Mobilizing for Appalachia Rising will be a rewarding experience as you grow the movement to abolish surface mining and mountaintop removal and gain community organizing skills in the process.

As a mobilizer, these are your responsibilities

In doing all of this, you will receive support from the central organizing team. We offer:

  • Logistical aid by connecting you with transportation companies and potential hosts.
  • Materials to promote the event, and keep you in the loop with the latest updates.
  • Support for fund raising through our network and event organizing advice. Ultimately, fundraising for transportation will be up to you.
  • Trainings, speaking events, or workshops on mountaintop removal, non-violent civil disobedience, community organizing, and movement building topics in your community.
  • Regular phone or email check ins when you want them.
  • Download the Mobilizers_Toolkit!

We look forward to working with you!
